Relay for Life Peeks

I put together a fun collage with pictures taken at the Relay for Life earlier this month.  Unfortunately I didn’t have room for every single picture, but this is a random collection.  I love all the smiling faces, it reminds me of the awesome evening and all the wonderful people who were there and the great time we had!

Portraits will be going out at the end of this week, so if you donated money to the event in exchange for a portrait keep an eye on your mailbox!

Relay for Life

Everyone had a great time at the Relay for Life yesterday. The event was filled with good times, lots of fun and a lot of money was raised for the American Cancer Society.

The event started with the Survivors Lap:

Followed by the team lap:

Here comes the team we were on! Lots of kids and the parents that go with them. Jayci Joy’s team had a huge turnout and it was wonderful to see all those bright shirts running around the event!

more of Jayci Joy’s team:

Ms. Jayci Joy herself, walking with Grandma on one side and Daddy on the other:

While team members walked, others enjoyed dancing:

the sumo wrestling challenge fundraiser:

a tattoo booth fundraiser:

and lots of general silliness and entertainment:

In the end it’s about Hope and a Cure (click image to see a larger version):

Relay For Life Special!

I’m going to be out the Bailey County Relay for Life tomorrow supporting the cause and taking portraits with all proceeds going to the Relay for Life fundraiser.  Keep an eye out for my sign at the event:

Here is the special available only during the Relay:

The minimum donation is $5 for each person in the portrait.  You will receive one professional 5×7 portrait ($25 value) for each person in the picture.  (i.e. A portrait of four people requires a minimum $20 donation and you will receive four copies of the portrait.)  Any cancer survivor or person currently battling cancer will receive their portrait for free.  Each session will last approximately 10 minutes.  There is no session fee during the event.  Sessions are offered on a first-come, first-served basis from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

This is an unprecedented special and a great opportunity to get a beautiful portrait at a great value while supporting a fantastic cause.  Feel free to swing by the ‘Faith, Hope and Jayci Joy’ tent in whatever attire you’d like portraits taken in.  T-shirt and jeans, dressed-up, silly, serious — the choice is yours!  I’m happy to do portraits for families, friends, children, pets, seniors — the possibilities are endless!

Due to the recent wild and windy West Texas weather I have decided to extend an additional special should tomorrow’s event be a bit on the windy side:

For any regular, full-length portrait session that is booked during tomorrow’s event, I will donate the entire session fee ($65) to the Relay for Life.  You must pay the session fee at the time of booking during the Relay and your session must be completed by August 31, 2008.

So, even if the weather is too windy for pictures, please take a moment to stop by and book a session.  You’ll get great portraits and the Relay for Life will benefit from it!
